Beach coffee? Now we are planning a staycation with the kids and dogs! After we happily stumbled upon Bakers Cay Resort in Key Largo. Coffee up high on the beach overlooking the hardwood and Mahogany Hammock our view was treetops, then bay blue water, beach, boats and birds. Only a quick visit for us locals, but wow doesn’t begin to describe the new decor, we met the designers, and the general manager, it was an accidental moment in time. But the welcome we got for our morning coffee was as memorable as this place. Dry Rocks bar will definitely receive a return visit. Continue reading BAKERS CAY BEACH COFFEE
VAIL RESORTS made this trip possible for our family of 6 at a massive EPIC PASS military discount. We never would have managed this trip without the EPIC PASS!
Vermont ski and snow at Christmas from a Sony Alpha 7 rii, a GoPro Hero7 Black, and a fabulous Karma Drone. Warning! Bring puzzles and playing cards because TMobile is woefully inadequate here. NO Service. All the way down the mountain to Boston.
WIFI at the base lodges at Jackson Gore and Sitting Bull at Okemo Mountain Resort. We love the family without the smart phones. But! The rare moments of wifi were our saving graces. We all work online in some form or another. And we lost each other several times on the mountain skiing without phone service. Luckily there is an endless supply of food and drink available any base lodge you get to, with the EPIC PASS you can load on to the family credit card. Be warned. The kids will use this service.
VAIL RESORTS CELEBRATES 10TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE EPIC PASS BY HONORING THE ARMY’S 10TH MOUNTAIN DIVISION AND MEN AND WOMEN OF THE U.S. ARMED FORCES, AS WELL AS SERVICE MEMBERS OF CANADA AND AUSTRALIA, WITH A SPECIAL MILITARY EPIC PASS AND USD$1.5 MILLION IN CONTRIBUTIONS TO VETERAN ORGANIZATIONS Continue reading WINTER
We used the Sony G OSS 70-200 mm lens at F2.8 for this one. Worth the extra money for that lens to get that uber sharp front part of the shot and the slightly out of focus rear. Lovely and clean. We bought the lens for the show. It’s not the best investment. We haven’t paid it back yet! How to be disciplined with buying equipment is something we are only JUST NOW learning. I need a Shark Tank shredding! Lucky for us our credit score is FANTASTIC. So plenty of lenders….zero percent! DISCIPLINE needs to be applied there too. … Continue reading Sharp Focus
Tough crowd! Not! The USAF Thunderbird’s were super on point with cooperative poses. They were ready for the ‘bro’ pose and the straight line up too. This one was taken with the G 18-105mm lens with Sony Flash. No tripod! I was asked last minute. So no time for lighting. Lenses. Tripods. But it gets the point across!
